Te Tohu Taakaro o Aotearoa Charitable Trust has collated Māori sporting success and history covering in excess of 150 years, and it has come a time to not only preserve but to showcase our rich history to our Aotearoa nation and the world.

“Our aim is not to ‘freeze’ our heritage as if it were a museum artefact.
Ehara tā tātou aro ko te whakatio i ngā taonga tuku iho anō nei he taonga noho whare.
It must be nurtured in such a way that it continues to live, breath and grow”
Tiakina ngā taonga mō te anamata, he oranga, he hauhā, he whakatipuranga”

— Tā Tipene O’Regan ONZ CRSNZ

“A reminder to all, that the roots of our Aotearoa nation began before 1840 –
Kia whakamaumahara tātou, ko ngā akaaka o tēnei whenua i tīmata i mua noa atu i te 1840 –
and the fruits of our whakapapa tree continue to remind us that our sweetness comes from that diversity“
Me ngā hua katoa o te whakapapa e whakamaumahara ana i a tātou ko tō tātou tuakiritanga ka heke mai i te kanorau“

—  Tā Tamati Reedy KNZM
